We started earlier than in previous years and friends who are involved even more and more. Some new faces bring fresh ideas. Friends who have been involved from the beginning are there, even though not a few people go. There is no big deal for the JAZZNGiSORiNGiN community with that because the members have all the right and option.
And volunteers who joined this year is exceptional. I appreciate the volunteers more than the people who two faced and used this moment to look concerned and take advantage on it. The time has proven who are doing it with heart.
Loenpia Jazz this year is not located in a place that has historical significance to the city of Semarang. However, we promise this location will be part of the memorable memories for jazz lovers in Indonesia. If you are curious, I will not mention the location in this post.
The theme this year is a culinary where visitors will be able to enjoy the many culinary specialties of Semarang while enjoying jazz music performances. In terms of artistic and content, there will be a lot of different things. For example, we are not longer using photographic techniques for teasers. They are replaced with 3D design. Then we do a lot of improvement in the areas of performance where the sound and stage equipment is fully supported by Semarang Sound System Community.
Our goal in the first three years to synergize the government, the private and the public or community is increasingly realized in this year. Regarding the 'big picture' the next three years, we will continue to strive to achieve a Sustainable Festival. With all humility, we will continue to be a stimulant for other communities in creative activism.
We'll just keep moving as best as we could and within the music community. Hopefully these ideas will continue to be greeted with the support of all parties so that Semarang become the city that most forward in the implementation of the activities of jazz music. And as many people discussion and fighting over now, that city branding is always at the start of symbol, we will give a different perspective where the city branding will be at the start of a movement that turned the "spirit" of the city itself with certain restrictions that jazz music.
I can't write it all but I can promise that you should come again this year. "Aku ngejazz mergo kowe" (Because of you we do Loenpia Jazz!)
