FOURTH ANNIVERSARY JAZZMBENSENEN YOGYAKARTA

Some time ago, me and some friends get the opportunity to represent JAZZNGiSORiNGiN Semarang attended the birthday of Jazzmbensenen community Yogyakarta. Jazzmbensenen community is a group of artists, musicians and jazz enthusiasts in the city of Yogyakarta, which has long been engaged in positive activities in introducing jazz music to public in a simple and communicative way. On 23 December 2013, they celebrated their fourth anniversary in Bentara Budaya.

We went from Semarang consists of Anto (keyboard player), Kunyik (bass player), Baruch (saxophone player), Gatot (guitar player/vocals), Katryn (vocals) and me (drum player). Our presence to Yogyakarta is to appreciate what had been done by Jazmbensenen community which I think is consistent and in tune with what we have been doing in Semarang.

A GLANCE OF LOENPIA JAZZ 2015

We started earlier than in previous years and friends who are involved even more and more. Some new faces bring fresh ideas. Friends who have been involved from the beginning are there, even though not a few people go. There is no big deal for the JAZZNGiSORiNGiN community with that because the members have all the right and option. And volunteers who joined this year is exceptional. I appreciate the volunteers more than the people who two faced and used this moment to look concerned and take advantage on it. The time has proven who are doing it with heart. Loenpia Jazz this year is not located in a place that has historical significance to the city of Semarang. However, we promise this location will be part of the memorable memories for jazz lovers in Indonesia. If you are curious, I will not mention the location in this post. PADANG OLD TOWN GEORGE TOWN PENANG (Padang Kota Lama)

Padang City is one area in George Town Bandaraya . It is situated in the area of Tanjung parlimen . Padang City is divided to two parts namely Padang Old Town and Padang New Town . Here some important events are held such as Ceremony of Independence Day , New Year Greeting and other casual events . Padang Old Town, or simply called The Padang, is the parade ground and playing field created by the British colonials in the civic district of George Town. It is bordered by Fort Cornwallis on one side, Jalan Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah, Jalan Padang Kota Lama and Light Street.
